I have a 1/2 gallon (64 oz) right now. I purchased on the 9th of this month. It expires the 17th of may. About 75 days from when I purchased it.
So you are saying the shelf life is do to it being ultra pasturized instead of pasturized normally?
Interesting. So its the flash heating process... I've learned something.

I considered buying raw milk once, but I was gonna have to drive about 45 minutes to get it, and it was 12 dollars I think so ultimately I didn't go.
Its only legal to sell it here in California if you get it from a ranch or something stupid... I forget the specifics.

Thats good to know.
Thank you.
The stores I've been to don't sell non-pasturized milk, and they won't even sell non-homogenized which would only mean I have to shake it first. Even at the whole foods I went to. So all I've ever had is some form of pasturized (or in my case organic ultra pasturized) homogenized milk.

You have to be from India or some country , where drinking un-pasteurized milk is normal, to handle un-pasteurized milk. Meaning, you have to had been drinking that stuff since you were a kid.

In a country like this, our immune systems haven't built up the immunity for raw milk. Drinking it is very risky.

I have heard that. But I wasn't planning on replacing all my milk with it. It is litterally impossible cause I have to drive to like a ranch to get it which is a 45 minute drive for a 12 dollar gallon of milk. Completely unreasonable.
I just wanted to do it at least once to know the difference.

Thank you for the advice though. I will do so in moderation.

I've learned alot about milk in this thread, actually. Way more than I expected.
