Timbaland's. Xscape, Beyonce's "Rocket", and some of the stuff from MCHG still sound nice. I still like the first 20/20 Experience and a handful of songs from the second installment are nice too.
I still like some of Pharrell's stuff, but I haven't really heard a full project of his that I've really liked since In My Mind. G I R L was nice, but doesn't really have replay value. Bush was underwhelming. "Feds Watching" is still a standout.
Pharrell by far. His sound is much richer and layered with more instrumentation than it was 10 years ago. He also works with smaller acts like Earl, and huge acts like Jay and them
Timbo seems to have regressed. His sound is more minimal and sparse than it was 10 years ago. His drums also fell all the way off.
Yeah, the 20/20 albums were solid but Tim dropped the ball on MCHG when that should've been his return to form.it is interestin' how pharrell has branched out his sound and evolve in a sense
timbaland's work definitely ain't what it use to be in the 90's and i think because i hold him to such a high standard is why it took me a minute to come around to the 20/20 experience but i now think he did a really good job on it. it's not even like that album was bad but i thought for a minute it was just him on cruise control. but i now see the goodness in that album. i don't think it's better than his previous efforts on futuresex/love sounds but still a really good album nevertheless
timbaland's drums were among the best in the 90's though![]()

His work on Push last album was also ehhh. If you told me Push and Tim were working together in 06 I would've lost my mind..
He's still a legend and one of the most influential ever tho. I'm equally hard on Pete Rock and RZA for straying so far away from their core sound
you ain't fukk with bush? that album came as a surprise to me because i wasn't really expectin' much but i was very surprised
with that i said, while it took a minute for me to appreciate the 20/20 experience, when i did finally "get it", i was like, "this is really good"![]()
Timbo murked the hell out of JT's 20/20 album, Pharell has not murked anything.
Other than that they've both been
Or Skateboard had Alright which was dope, then he had Happy nice little radio pop song, and they both collaborated on Jay's Ocean, which was dope.
I like some of the songs, but it sounds pretty much like everything else he's been doing as of late.
