sadly PROJECT PAT was the worst hip-hop show i've ever seen. i am a huge fan of his and was really excited for the gig. drove 30 miles to the little town where the club was (same town i went to college in) and the show was in an enormous sports bar/nightclub promoted by this dude JP AKA Mr. 724. here's a video from his mixtape with pat
anyway, we get there and the place is gigantic and about 50 people showed up

to about 7 openers. we were in the VIP drinking free grey goose because there was no one there for this dude's 30th birthday. the best photo of the night from my instagram.

this girl was named NUNU and she sang R&B most notably a cover of "let's get it on". "woof".
we had gotten there around 9:30 and after awhile i got really bored so i snuck up to the DJ area and smoked a blunt with the local DJ. came back to the VIP and then it was time for PP to eventually go on. we hadn't seen him all night but eventually realized he had been in the way back of the VIP chilling all night. he gets onstage with his hypeman and MR. 724 (LOL) and he didn't seem to have his own DJ so he had this wasted dude running a CDR of his songs offstage
PAT looks pretty bummed on the turnout and after about 7 minutes of rapping over his own CD complete with skipping tracks

and him glancing up at the DJ booth like

eventually the club turned the lights on and that was it. PP straight up beat feet and got the fukk out of there. i am pretty sure he made his money ahead of time and just wanted to bounce. we were all convinced that JP was going to get a beatdown but i saw a pic of him online with JUICY J recently so who knows. dude looks like VARYS from GAME OF THRONES! LOL!
if PP had played in pittsburgh i am sure the show would have been much better

but it was quite an odd experience.
