Who's the better musician? Missy Elliot or Beyonce?

I'm bumping Supa Dupa Fly and it made me think.

Missy Elliot has a better catalogue of bangers I feel...bangers that not only girls but even nikkas fukked with. A classic album under her belt and almost as many if not more hit singles than Beyonce. I dont listen to Beyonce or even Missy like that though so I cant really speak. But heres another debate for the haters.

Songwriting = Missy
Creativity = Missy
Voice = Beyonce
Attractiveness = Beyonce

Beyonce has the better voice and looks better. But is Missy not a more well-rounded, self-sufficient, versatile artist?

I honestly think this is a neat debate. Two different types of artists, but perhaps the most successful females since the 90s. Mary J Blige is also in the discussion.

It's probably biased because Missy makes more male friendly music...and I was in the previous thread giving Bey her props but still...

Beyonce is a superstar who's been able to maintain a surprisingly high amount of creative control in what she drops, so it's a bit different.

I hear you with the control but meh...like dude said earlier I feel like shes more of a manufactured product where as Missy was a properietor. We don't know what goes on behind the scenes but it just seems that way the way the whole Timabaland crew kinda had their own thing going. I think we have different ideas of creativity. Songwriting and Timbo is probably a big part of the disparity but for instance...this to me is creative:





The videos were. The sound was. The content. The sampling. The eerieness. The ambience. Everything about the music was different. Meanwhile Bey is kinda in the same lane as Jennifer Lopez or Britney Spears it seems...latching on to trends like EDM.

And Missy Elliot could sing breh...her features are hotter too

I like Bey, but Missy is much better songwriter. EDIT: Bey barely writes any music. Missy wins by default. There's no argument for Beyonce being a better overall artist than Melissa Elliott.
