They are one of my favorite groups of all time..

Probably because they are lyrical and don’t dumb down for their southern audience

This would apply more to Outkast. Ball & G are straight forward gangsta/pimp rappers nothing too complex about their style at all.

They're celebrated by their core fanbase (40+ year olds from the south) but they were just never as popular as peak UGK, Three Six or Outkast.

They are very loved down here in the South. And among the few with Project Pat you won’t ever hear anyone talking down on them.

They do get recognition: just as much as UGK, Outkast, ect. You dont have to be mainstream to get recognition. Dudes from all over the damn coasts acknowledge and LOVE 8Ball and MJG. I really hate that channel.

Facts so many of these content creators are goofy opportunist...

Ball n G definitely had depth to there style and delivery, for one they where sharp lyrically not to mention elite with the double meaning and symbolism...Not to many straight forward gangsta/pimp rapper bringing there type of versatility if any....

this just a small sample frfr...

Above the fray.
8ball was that dude.

Agrwieeth Dora about their lack of national hit songs.Biggest mainstream look they got was on Stay Fly with 3-6 Mafia.

Became aware of them because they were the first ones with the Pen N Pixel ads in rap magazines.

The fat dude had bars and flows.
