Canibus wrote all his rhymes. He doesn't get respect because of that. I remember a verse he had on his album he got directly from a canibus freestyle he spit on Rap City lol

:ohhh: Then yet Drake, Kanye, Dr.Dre, Eazy-E, etc get all the pass but not A+ so can you tell me why? :lupe:

Nobody considers Kanye, Dre or Eazy elite rappers. Drake they did, but he takes a hit for a the ghostwriting stuff. Difference being, they all are at least very talented in something. Dre and Kanye are all-time great producers, Eazy E created the most legendary group ever, Drake is one of the best hit makers in rap history. A+ was.....A+. With that said, I like both his albums. And thought he was dope before I knew about the Canibus stuff.

How old was canibus when he was writing for dude? Anyway, I only bought his album because it was one of the 12 for 1 cent CDs I copped from one of my many bootleg memberships to Columbia house

Ha, I was like 13 in 1998, shows how much the game has changed....'Enjoy Yourself' got crazy play on the radio out here, I used to listen to that shyt in my homies garage, where we had a basketball hoop out front on Friday nights after school, on an old stereo, those old ass triple decker ones, with tapes, cd's everything.....thats a distant, but close memory, real rap, childhood shyt....

The latch key kid was good. He was a better feature artist. Decent lil run for the kid in a time of legends and all time greats
