Why am I getting notifications for post I quoted

it doesnt actually give you a notification when you quote someone. it just shows up as part of your quote feed when you click on "new post quotes" and it takes you to the quote area of your profile

I'm not sure what you're saying, but it shows up in my notifications (sometimes)

first of all the notifications don't come up 100% of the time either way (when I quote, or when I'm quoted). but sometimes I quote someone, right away I get 1 notification, when I click on that it shows "1 new quote", I go to it, and it brings me to the quote I just made. I'm not making this up...

ive tested this extensively with different accounts, within different usergroups, different browsers, different forums and i have never gotten a notification for quoting someone else. i've also been assured by the developer of the plugin that there is 0% chance of this happening

I guess when we get the "1 new quote" thing and see no legit new quotes except us quoting someone, we have to double check whether it's the "1" thrown off by an earlier quote by someone in the convo or if it's 100% triggered by our quoting them

in any case though, our quote of someone showing up in our quotes feed is a bug.

yeah, i'm gonna try to pay attention next time it happens

I thought I got a notification the other day when I quoted someone, but it was actually because someone quoted me WHEN I was quoting someone else a minute before. So whenever that happens, you have to pay close attention to that.

I thought I got a notification for 10:02 but it was actually a notification for someone quoting me before that.
