Why are all black schools/neighborhoods automatically assumed to be "bad"?

To be completely honest, a lot of "all black" schools aren't the best academically. It's not because of race though, it's because an overwhelming number of "all black" schools are also low income schools which, statistically speaking, face challenges that many other schools do not.

Those schools aren't inherently bad; however, they aren't always the best environment for a number of reasons. I honestly want my children to attend a rigorous school that is racially mixed, but has a good number of black children.

ive lived in a black suburban neighborhood that was the lamest place i ever stayed. had a sound curfew and everything. i had my turntables hooked up in the garage and my neighbors would come over at 9pm and ask me to turn it down. no one ever did anything and it was the quietest place ever.

ive noticed the word "hood" has been attached to black neighborhoods/people nowadays, but there's a lot of history out there people are shytting on by implying such things.
