Or any other Abrhamic religion, always thought to be atheist or some sort of satanist? The myriad of other systems of belief and those are the only concepts that people seem to come up with. Why is that ?

This isn't an attack post but a question I've encountered.
Because there is only one true God and every other "god" is either a figment of imagination or Satan (or some demon) playing tricks. 
Or so I've heard.
I feel like that's a bigger problem though. How can you say you made a choice when you only had three out of a countless number of options?I think alot of people are only familiar with what they're familiar with. Other belief systems are not widely represented in our communities so they go with what they know.

It's like the argument I used to make with my family:
"You're only a Christian and worship in a Christian way because you weren't born somewhere else."
The issue is that no one can prove that. I've read of people healing others using other Gods. People are so small minded that they have to put others I'm their archetypes or they risk learning something new.
I know a few Black Buddhists, Black Orthodox Jews, Black Muslims, and one Blavk Hindu.
But if you're Black, you were likely raised Christian, and your leaving the religion was because you came to a logical conclusion about religion.
Hence the agnosticism or atheism.

If you're comfortable in your choice most people don't see a need to explore other options.
That's true of most faithful folks, not just christians.
Those who do research other belief systems (I think) usually do just to have general knowledge of or to better relate to a friend family member or community, not because they're comparison shopping.
And then there's those that research other systems will the sole intent of downing the other or attempting to pain't theirs as superior.
Yeah, it's like "Spiritual Bigotry" isn't it.
So you don't think people go searching for truth that resonates with them since they've previously found none?

i was a bible doubter like most growing up. I was at college reading level in the 6th grade. I had questions that the christians i knew couldn't answer, such as the similarites between other religions and christianity. I studied buddhism, taoism, egyptian book of the dead, gnositcism, metaphysic etc.....and still didn't find the answers to the questions i had.
I was a proud athiest, talking that "god strike me down" if you real, saying "fukk god" nonsense until i came across some israelite brothas who had the answers to some of my questions. I did not join their groups because i saw that even though they were better researchers than sunday christians, they were still not all the way on point. But they showed me how to read the bible and through much study i found the answers i had been searching for all my life.
The history of the world. My purpose on earth. Life after death. Why blacks went into slavery. Who we are as a people. Why the whole world hates us. Why the wicked are in rulership. many questions got answered and I was delivered from a life of being lost in the matrix.
There are UNIVERSAL TRUTHS in many different spiritual beliefs but they are corrupted and some encourage the worship of false gods.
The Most High has preserved the truth of his word in the Bible and that is why it is the most loved and hated book in the world. The wicked who rule fear the bible because it calls its believers to rebel against all unrighteousness.

I said people who are comfortable in their choice. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
I certainly do hope that people who feel that they don't have the truth or that something is missing do go looking into other systems.
I also don't think it's wrong to combine the best of several if that's what works for you.
