Why are Black women so religious?

Before I actually delve into the topic this is not a Black Women bashing thread keep that shyt out of here. I know how some of you nikkas get

I'm genuinely curious as to why this is though. Black people in general seem to be very religious, but Black women in particular seem to be the most active participants. Why is this?

You go to church and the overwhelming majority of people there are women

Hell, a lot of shorties will vanish if you tell them you don't believe in God. Even the hypocritical go-to-church-in-a-blue-moon type jawns

I think it has a lot to do with having something to believe in and look forward to tbh
