Don't get me wrong, I'm not talking about 100% of doctors, but let's be honest, the idea/view of doctors being such great ppl is outdated.
Maybe 100-200 years ago doctors were great people who helped ppl sick in distress when they could afford to. Nowadays, if you don't have some type of insurance or healthcare, you're screwed, and most doctors could care less. They could be your personal doctor for years or seeing you thru an issue, but lose your job insurance, and majority will be like, "sorry, can't help you anymore"
And then go hit the golf course or go to a 5-star dinner with a representative of some new drug they want them to push.
You could see your personal doctor at the grocery store & tell him a symptom, and he/she won't do anything but say, "make an appointment with me..." aka, let me get that $300 payment for just looking at you for 10 mins
, and then tell you to come back again for a re-up...i mean follow up in a few days.
Some may listen to you or advise you on the spot, but I'm just speaking in general.
Again, not saying most doctors are bad people with ill intentions, but the big money med systems eff everything up to where the doctors basically become an extension of it.
Thoughts?
