A wealthy black man will have a cac wife or some shyt and all of a sudden it's "black men" not just him. As though black men are a monolith. Can someone explain this to me?

It's called being the "face" of something. Nobody knows you or me so, of course, people are going to run with the "face". It doesn't help that people don't understand that celebrities are just normal people that got famous.
