Why are grapes and grape soda delicious, but grape candy is disgusting?

Has anyone else noticed how delicious grapes are, but the flavor hasn’t been mastered in candy?

Grape soda, and grape juice, especially Welch’s Red is delicious, especially if you grew up drinking it with communion in church.



But grape candy and ice pops are trash.
