All my shyt getting cleared Only had 14k left out of 17 and I had pell grants throughout. It’s actually a lot of people like me that got relatively manageable debts from college (I’d assume we are the majority just off the fact most students go to instate public institutions but they’ll fix the numbers and make you fearful).

it’s 10-20k depending on if you got a pell grant. You also don’t have to pay interest now if you choose an income driven payment plan. That helps a lot.

10k can be the finishing blow to years of repaying that bullshyt. I love haters getting incensed over this because they're revealing their envy. The textbook definition, pain at others success.

Congrats on grinding to pay your debt off. Others are doing the same and failing due to recessions, illness, divorce, injury, layoffs etc. This was an example of government actually doing something directly to give them a break and they'll remember that when it's time to vote. This is the shyt that government is supposed to be doing with the tax dollars YOU give them.

This took my debt from around $12.7k to $2.7k.

I could pay the balance easily right now.

Funny enough if you dropped out after a year or 2 this program is your best friend as it wipes out almost all of your loan debt.

When it’s all said and done you’ll see this program disproportionately helps: Black people & folks who didn’t finish school but have loans.
