I can respect itNo, but these rappers would know they would never get their album out without one

You're listening to crap and surprised when it's crap?I love Big Sean but he misfired on this album (HOF).The album is terrible. I went in thinking that this album would be Detriot pt.2 as far as growth and story telling. 2 chainz is another one. Why are you switching up your production and sound. Meek mill is another one. I dont geeeet it. French montana did it on his album also. We want Harry fraud bruh
Losing your core is one of the worst mistakes you can make and it can damage your career almost on a permanent level. You honestly think french "expanded" his fanbase? I sincerely doubt it.
The problem with these albums is that they arent cohesive. Fat Joe isnt the greatest MC but if you look at his first two albums, darkside vols etc they are albums with great themes.
These guys exchange cohesive themes for an album full of "hits" that feel very disposable. Some guys are able to get away with this on name alone (look at jay z, who lets be real, hasnt had a really good album since american gangster).
I think a lot of it has to do with pressure from the label and these guys want to be superstarsI agree! You have to make album for the core fans. Why aim for pitbull and flo rida fans who are fickle fukks
stop the fukerry magna carter was dopeAre you sure?
I thought we all wanted the art from to "progress"?
Dude in your avi said if you want the old chit, buy the old album...
Example j cole went back to his core fans went did well. Yall overrating those pop fans. Its about having a long career. Lupe is another oneI think a lot of it has to do with pressure from the label and these guys want to be superstars
I think RBK is underestimating the business side of music
You core fanbase( black male rap fans) can't take you to superstar status.
J Cole never left his core fanbase and his career is different from the guys in the OP.Example j cole went back to his core fans went did well. Yall overrating those pop fans. Its about having a long career. Lupe is another one

you have no idea how much rappers feel themselves when they get on that fukking billboard.
its like this.
a boxing match, guy stun a guy, you knock him down, you feel like you are gonna get the KO when he gets back up. you start throwing haymakers instead of setting up the knockout, and instead you get caught and knocked out yourself. this happens alot. its the same deal, artists forget what got them where they were, by the time they realize it its too fukking late.
