First, it's not a documentary it's a series. Second, I don't know that they're upset that Netflix made it as much as it had a "LGBTQ" label on it and they don't like that their group is being associated with a series about a serial killer.

In all seriousness and switching off my typical jokey style, watch episode 6 and think about what Tony Hughe’s family had to go through and relive with his name being brought up in the context of this show, all these years later. The reality is Dahmer could’ve been stopped MULTIPLE times and wasn’t because he was white.

The show gave ME nightmares and I’m gore tested in real life and on the internet. I saw a man’s head explode when I was a kid. Don’t ask.

No but it's extremely sad and heartbreaking how a lot of those men and boys would be alive if Dahmer wasn't white. There were multiple times that we know of, where he could've been arrested. He used the his white male and gay privilege to his advantage. When I say gay privilege I mean once he said they were homosexuals the police didn't want any parts of what was going on, even when the victims were clearly not okay

He definitely played on cops and people's homophobia and used "gay stuff" as a shield.
