I can understand Wolverine's first appearance or the first Avengers book, but some shyt is just :mindblown:

I was at a comic con in October. Some vendors were charging like 40 bucks for the first GOTG (DNA version) appearance in Annihilation: Conquest. I ended up finding it in a bin for 50 cents at the same comic con. :heh: shyt was mint condition, too. I wasn't even looking for this comic either. :pachaha:

I'm trying to get some other mini series issues and cats are charging 10 bucks on Amazon. :dahell: I ended up finding the CBR for them and the story arc isn't even worth it.

These cats need to charge like a buck for back issues 6 months or older. :pacspit:

...maybe because it's no longer in print, or it's short run.

I'm not talking TBP. I'm talking regular comics.

I understand if a trade is OOP and a ridiculous price, but comics? :dahell:

BTW, these shytty publishers should be reprinting these TPBs; especially ones people would want. How the fukk they publish shytty ones that are still in rotation. :snoop:

it is the 90's all over again. People just don't know how to charge. most comics drop in value after you buy them.

People collect things.

A comic, unless it goes to print multiple times, only comes out once.

A comic's print run is sometimes based on it's popularity.

If something of significance happens in a comic with even a somewhat limited print run (in this case, fist modern appearance of GotG with the movie coming out), the value goes up in the eyes of collectors.

It doesn't matter how insignificant or unimportant you think the event is.

And people will buy it.

You should have bought that 50 cent one and sold it to them for half to 3/4 the price they were selling it for.
