Why are there no big PED scandals in the NBA?

PED scandals seem to hit every sport from football and baseball to swimming, cycling, all up and down the Olympics, etc.

Why do we not see these scandals hit the NBA, like ever?

Is bball just a clean sport? Does the league turn a blind eye as to not hurt their ratings and revenue?

It is baffling that PED abuse is a widely known thing within competitive professional sports but it seems like we never hear anything about a star, a vet or even a young average dude trying to get more burn in the NBA getting popped for PEDs.

Nba smart enough to see its better to maintain plausible deniability and not ruin their stars’ marketability.

Baseball has never regained its national clout. Finding out Lebron and Wade and Kobe were on shyt would hurt basketball even worse.

Same reason there aren't any in football or other sports besides baseball / cycling (government and the media have no reason to speak on it).

Until then folks will be quiet about it.

But we can say the same about fixing games and gambling (which also historically has been a much bigger issue in sports).

Unlike the MLB or NFL, strength isn't a major requirement, more about skills in the NBA... PEDs ain't gonna help your jumpshot or help you win titles, Skills (& forming superteams like Lebron does)

Steroids can help with Muscle Recovery which can definitely be beneficial to NBA players. Especially guys like LeBron who's getting older and still playing long seasons.

Jesus Christ this is fukking stupid. How do you think you improve your basketball skills? Getting in the gym and training. PEDs help you recover faster and hit the gym harder.

The reason there's no scandal in the NBA is because the NBA figured out that people really don't care if athletes are on PEDs. Truth be told, they'd probably prefer it, it improves the quality of play.

PEDs are used for more than just strength purposes. You can use them if you have some nagging injuries/pain while playing a long 82 game season + playoff run.

lowkey seems like a poorly veiled hate thread.

i guess we gone ignore the players who went overseas for that knee regeneration stem cell treatment...

fact is the best players and veterans have been serious about taking care of their bodies. jordan spent millions every year on various trainers, treatment, etc especially as he got older. same with players like lebron, heavily invests in equipment, trainers, proper treatment, diet, etc.
