Last week I went to the movies to see Evil Dead. The only thing I was thinking about was how much better the movie would've been if they made it somewhat of an interactive experience. They should have holograms that appear as ghosts that come from out of nowhere and scare you. They should have fake props that fall from the ceiling that scare you. The American Movie outing experience hasn't changed at all in 30 years.

That's gonna take a great change in the current infrastructure. I doubt the modern theaters would be able to do such a thing. Not saying they shouldn't have it but it would take some time.

But you have a point tho alot of these industries have been kind of lagging on innovation. I think the music industry is the biggest offender. They definitely should have come up with some sort of listening experience that's different than just putting the music on a music player , and plugging it into your ears or your standard concert. Possibly a "Sound Theater" if you will

one of the worst ideas I've ever heard in my entire life. Stick to watching Warriors basketball breh..

Foh, if the muthafukka that thought of adding 3-D glasses to the movie experience thought like you he'd be as broke as you. This shyt could easily enhance the movie going experience and make it worth the high ass ticket prices. Just imagine watching a horror flick at the movies and all of a sudden a Hologram image of the killer came walking up the aisle in the theatre. If you wasn't expecting that shyt you would piss yourself.

the movie should speak for itself.. shouldn't need cheap tricks to scare you, plus it would distract you from the experience. Some movies use 3-D as a gimmick, but some are using it to revolutionize movies (James Cameron)

the stuff you talked about just seems like stupid slap-stick shyt.

That's your opinion. 1 day somebody with the resources will apply my idea and make Billions from that shyt. I'm about innovation, somebody once balked at the idea of television. The reason why every other movie these days seem to have a 3-D version is because the public wants the film to be up close and personal. You can't get closer to the film than having hologram interaction. 1 day my " Ray's Boom Boom Room" idea will come to life. It may be your grandkids that get to experience it but some great mind will make it a reality and forever change the cinema experience.

3-D isn't a stupid idea dude. You can easily see (even back in the early days of film) why a 3-D concept would work. Your ideas just sound cheesy as fukk imo

4DX - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

might be close some day

A theatre can be built or retrofitted with special equipment to support 4DX features, which include[1][5]
Seat motion and vibration
Jets of air or water
Mist
Strobe lighting
Smoke
Aromatic vapours (from a collection of 1000 scents)
Bubbles

Never even heard of this but it makes perfect sense. It changes the movie experience to the point where people will look at the present experience as prehistoric. The ideas listed above as well as my Hologram idea would change the game forever. The movie experience has to enter the 21st century. There's no excuse for it not to with the technology we have available these days.

Aren't those just elements of rides like they have at Universal Studios tho? I mean you would nearly have to design the theatre around the ride & it wouldn't necessarily work for like comedies or dramas I wouldn't think...
