Why are there no rappers from Dallas?

Other than D.O.C. and Vanilla Ice? Dallas-Ft. Worth is the 4th largest metro area in the country. No other city close to that size has less of a mainstream hip-hop scene.

What, dudes can't rap there? Or did the embarrassment that was Vanilla Ice put a hex on the whole city? D.O.C. though.

I cant call Dallas... They've' always been different from the rest of Texas cities etc. Kinda reminds me of ATL in a way because them niccas love attention & always develop their own styles and dances. I'm sure they have talent but due to their arrogance and flamboyant lifestyles its hard to get the rest of the state behind them. They're just different....I use the fukk with Ron C back in the days but anything else has burned out pretty fast...
