I think out of my cohort of 30 or so in CS, only three were women. Many dropped out because they didn't have discipline, the others that did graduate ended up in a non-STEM field...smh...For myself, certs, crypto, copywrites, so I am good breh...Your friend in C++ gave up and now her life is over and totally unemployable in the real world....all for a couple of racks....
Again, be prepared at all times, they need scramble that change up and stop flexing on IG. Amazon/Uber Eats/Door Dash is always an option. Why turn tricks during a pandemic? The answer is simple, they are lazy and lack the skills to survive....
Like many people that delve into programming, they didn't realize the logic, discipline, and dependence on math CS/CE requires. They probably thought it would be more App-based, "Oh, I am just going to learn how to use Windows and make Websites? Right? Lol"
Then they go for a liberal arts degree and end up with 60k in student loans asking for a Sugar Daddy/Simp....
Please...we seen it all before.
