Why are they all quiet and s.h.i.t. during golf?

I actually play this game for recreation and to interact with friends so I'm not asking this on some ignorant shyt. I'm simply asking becuz when I'm with my boys, we're usually loud and foolish and usually drunk. But I'm sitting watching the Masters and I just wanna know why isn't it like that at these toureys. Does noise really distract the players that much?

i think its more for press/cameras than actual speaking most of the time, that sound can be distracting. Tiger gets alot of pub for it but alot of players have complained over the years

Ehhh, I dont buy it. Dudes stand at the FT line with the entire game on the line and the crowd is raving mad. Or a kicker in football the same thing.

I dont see why Golf has to be so quiet, including the announcers who speak in a hush the whole time.

It's just the silly image of golf being so important.

it wasn't entirely directed at you, but if you think i'm upset about something someone on the coli posts



think about most of our holidays and sporting events, damn near everything an excuse to get loud and drunk. i honestly think golf stays rooted in its tradition cause of the money behind it, and also the fact that the people viewing respect the tradition as well as the players.




also i'm sure if we choose to act up at augusta, they throwin your ass out with the quickness. 12000 dollar pass gon have me like if i get kicked out
