Not only are we constantly told this about ourselves out of our own mouths, its CELEBRATED, GLORIFIED & even REWARDED. Again, if you don't fit into this "box" as a black person, you're less than black or, as I've learned in this thread, a "c00n"



The "suburban nikka"/ "real nikka" division is some deep psychological shyt that's a result of hundreds of years of being told that we're less than human.

Because suburbanites plan/create our families and networks, promote education and "keeping it real" doesn't necessarily mean poverty, crime and ignorance.

Studies show that Blacks with higher income tend to stay in the same neighborhoods as low-income residents (i.e upper middle class Whites and Asians live amongst others the same income and move out of the hood/trailor park).

Don't know if it's by design (as in the past) since some argue race transcends class or if modern buppies feel obligated to stay in places with lower income or intimidated to move beyond what they know, besides those folk in Desoto Texas. With the Klan and sundown towns blacks literally had to stay together for safety.

I grew up with plenty of New News from ATL and never understood why they pretended that to be hood when their parents and grandparents had worked hard to provide access and build a better life vs the liquor house grannies and rolling stone grandpas that produced the shyt parents and ritalin retarded grandkids that we had to deal with since the 1950s in addition to making it in a fukked up system.

Privilege girls were fukking dope boy for weed, clothes and jewelry when they were given allowance by parents. Dudes would do their first B&E to prove how hard they were. Never understood it.
