Why aren't Bron & Klay getting criticism for stat-padding like Russ?

LeBron played in a dead rubber against the Knicks to get to 82 Games played & then took 9 shots in 11 minutes to keep his 10+ point streak going.

Klay on the other hand played 35 minutes in a blowout loss to Utah & took 27 shots to he could average 20 PPG for the season.

Klay did it one game

LeGM did it because he wanted to play all 82 games.

Russell Westbrook has been doing this shyt for the past 200 games. KD saw this shyt coming and dipped early. He saw the look Westbrook had in his eyes when he got those fraudulent triple doubles and the OKC media was praising him.

This is getting out of control.

There may be situations of stat padding but I’m starting to agree a bit with Westbrook here.

If you’re not gonna stop the guy, maybe stfu.

The big subtext of this whole thing is this insinuation that you get these stats when it doesn’t matter and you don’t try to get them in high leverage situations during the game. I find it nearly impossible to believe that both are true.

There is nothing wrong with keeping streaks alive, most players have incentives in their contracts.

Plus this kinda shyt have been done since forever. I remember when the spurs gave the ball to david robinson in the last game of the season and scored 71 so he can finish as the leading scorer of the season (and probably win a few votes for his mvp trophy too...even though we all know how that went in the wcf that year )

I heard dudes on here say this and Stephen A said this yesterday...Lebron is only playing all 82 games because he knew coming into the season he didnt have a shot at winning the title..so the hope is people focus on that and not another Finals lost...but last year the issue was him sitting out games...I'm like LeBron can't win either way with people but these are the same people that will claim he likes to control his narrative..why not if this is the narrative people want to create about him..

I remember last game of I think 96-97, MJ needed a certain amount of points for the scoring title and Phil was like, :manny: I'll let him go for it

But if you asked me, I would tell you that MJ was gonna be chasing that number .

People would tell you Robinson was going for that scoring title .

When Gervin and David Thompson put up those ridiculous ass numbers to get the scoring title, no one would deny what they were doing.

Russ fans won't admit that he's chasing the shyt.

Donovan said they have the bigs box out for him to get the board. You see that shyt watching the games. He's lining up during free throws. We've seen him get mad at players for passing up on shots that would've given him ten assists.

Let them tell it, him needing 17 boards to average a triple double and him getting 16 by the end of the third was just some normal shyt .

That might be one of the top 10 dumbest things SAS has ever said.....and the reason I said top ten is because I dont wanna box myself in and say top 5 because somebody might really bring something off the wall that I havent heard yet

What's funny is there are people that said anyone could do it if their teammates let them like Russ.

ANYONE COULD AVERAGE 30/10/10 and make the playoffs. :mjlol:

It is outright one of the dumbest things I've ever heard for people to think anyone could do it because he gets some easy boards from Adams. He's one of the best playmakers in the league and gets absolutely no credit for it.

Only thing I :mjlol: at Russ with is the freebounds. No problem with the scoring or assists. :yeshrug:
