Yea. I remember watching a YouTube video of Les Brown where he said the white woman who is mother worked for would make her whistle. And he didn’t know why. This was when he was a child. But I forgot who later told him the reason she was being made to whistle is so her boss, the white woman, would know she’s awake and working. Talk about degradation of a whole human being. He said that motivated him to work hard to get his mother out of that situation so she never has to do that again.
In my own life experiences I’ve seen and heard enough sh1t like this to motivate me to be my own boss. They say pride comes before downfall but that’s a silly statement. Ignorant, obnoxious pride comes before downfall. If we humans don’t have pride, then what are u alive for? What makes u different from an animal? A pig?

Would they though, slavery would only benefit the white owner class while putting most of the white working class out of work.
Mass Slavery makes no sense in this day and age anyway, paying workers poverty wages is a whole lot more profitable than Slavery, which why it ended in first place anyway.
Often times they would put things like glass or poison in the food.I would’ve ate that shyt before I brought it in there to they asses.

I thought it would be to cover up the sounds of other enslaved people talking and plotting against the slave owners.
A lot of songs and other activities had secret messages in them. Telling of a potential revolt, or a time when slaves would make an escape. Quilts had secret messages as well, guiding people to the Underground Railroad.
