BRUH........CUT IT. :pacspit:

I am east african......my country is located just by the horn of Africa. Last minute payment can run you $1500 round trip.
Two wk prior can run you $800.
Hotels are expensive? Why not use airbnb. With $500 you have paid for a whole month.
Safety? I got places in Nairobi safer than the streets of Baltimore and Philly.
Vaccine? What for?? Are you going for an Ebola research
Visa? $50 entry.
Not every place is Nairobi breh

It's hardly any tourism industry in Africa. You have what, the safaris and pyramid trips you can set up. Anything else is going to require good amount of planning vs just going to Paris or some where else with entire tourist agendas laid out for visitors.

Explain how a black couple from PG county is supposed to just up and visit Lagos or Accra?

give me of any destination in Africa bro and I will give you the math and even compare to a city in eastern europe not even west europe and still the african city has more kick to your money

Also, remember Nairobi is becoming one of the most expensive places in Africa. Its certainly the most expensive in East Africa

Go on Expedia/Hopper find a cheap flight
Fill out the application for visa

Get on the orange/blue/silver line go to the embassy to drop off visa

Go to costco, walgreen, Target to get vaccination

Go to Dulles and get on plane

It’s not that difficult

And you’re wrong about things to do. There are beaches, taking in the architecture- art. Markets, etc
Forgive my ignorance but what’s the application for visa? I thought you just needed a passport to go international

It’s a good question, breh.

You have to fill out an application for visas. Your name, occupation, address, why you’re visiting their country, how long you’re staying there, etc.

flight is the woat esp flying economy :to:
you fall asleep and wake up and still see like 9 hours left on your journey
you basically waste two days flying to and from and then if you have to deal with jet lag

but its worth it :blessed:
:picard: for all them hours I hope to at least have the window seat.Yeah it's worth it from what I heard and see. Most people come back changed

Glad I wasnt the only one

I only made it to 3 mins. Her tone, delivery, and body language came off as too damn chatty patty for my tastes :hhh:

This is a very unpopular opinion but it truth.
Many AAmericans don’t feel a connection to Africa. So that group doesn’t feel a need to go. Honestly I’m JUST starting to see advertisement on Rwanda and other cities on YouTube. So really it out of sight out of mind.

The ones who need a spiritual journey or want a connections to see where our ancestors grew up. Especially in our woke era, so many people waking up and our current administration. They will travel no problem, no matter the hassle cause they need it but most Americans travel for leisure and to show off, they don’t really travel to explore.

As Americans, we are very spoiled. Traveling just in our continent is incredibly easy, plus the other Islands we control. So when something becomes difficult or a longer process. It turns people off.

AA Traveling in general isn’t HUGE. People don’t have a couple thousand to save and travel plus have next months rent and if they work a basic job....enough PTO HOURS to cover it

That’s another thing foreigners don’t understand, compared to their countries, the vacation days Americans are normally granted from our employers is some basura. Even the notoriously overworked Japanese have wayyyy better vacation days than us, that should tell you something :snoop:

Her voice is annoying. Anyways, as someone who loves Africa, the continent is not for everyone. Africa is "raw" and if you not built for it then its best you not go. For some countries like Ethiopia you gotta be a straight up adventurer. Even countries like South Africa. I'm just saying. But one of the many reasons Blacks in America do not go when I ask them is the length of the flight. Fact is people who even claim they wanna go to Africa are not going to go themselves and are just talking.

The ones who do go been wanted to go for a long time. Fact is certain people DO NOT need to be in Africa and for their own GOOD. Only a few which is why I find it strange when people try and convert some Blacks in America to go to Africa. Like I said many are not built for Africa. And yes African tickets are expensive compared to other regions(not sure why ppl deny this) and some countries DO require vaccines(I needed them) and visas can be a headache(see Angola).

Exactly. Anything crossing the Atlantic Ocean into Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa are at least $900. But somehow Africa keeps being the least visited out of the 4 :jbhmm:
Incorrect. Europe is actually cheaper. Matter fact Southeast Asia too like Thailand. They're both cheaper because there is more DEMAND to those places from American airports unlike with African countries. Flying into Africa from Europe is actually much more cheaper. And no I'm not making "excuses" because I been trying to return to Africa for years, in fact I'm plotting on Africa September of next year.
