Why BMW put that ugly ass grill on the m3?

Wrecked the 4 series with that abomination of a grill and 7 Series and X7 look atrocious with the split headlights.

The grill ain't for show its a reason its thereshyt look good on M4 but that sht makes the M3 look like an M2

It was shocking at first, but it grew on me.
Still not a fan of this gen because they didn’t square off the back of the car to match the front.
I had a 97 240sx. The 240, like the bmws, went from the round front and rear to a square front, yet left the round rear. I over paid for a Japanese spec rear bumper and spoiler to square out the rear of the car.

Grew on me but I feel it looks best in darker colors. Like White usually looks amazing on BMW but not on the current M3/M4 IMO
