I have been a financial statement auditor for a long time now, and I have serviced this liberal coo-coo land for almost my entire career.
Every company is staffed to the brim with liberals who have their hilary/obama/sanders signs hanging all over their cubes/office spaces. Yet, if i was to even mention my own conservative beliefs I would get reported to HR immediately or get fired from a client.
But the thing that kills me the most is the astronomical push-back I get from clients regarding SOX 404 --Sarbanes Oxley act of 2002. In the 2013, the PCAOB, a regulator born from SOX, issued their own little interpretation of what effective internal controls are with Staff Practice alert no. 11. Because of this new interpretation, I have to deal with every client telling me that something is "too much work", "too inefficient", or "we don't fit into the PCAOB's little box". Or they will complain saying things like "Why can't I rely on the system? ", "why do i have this ERP if I have to perform everything manually?", "why do I need to keep all this evidence?"
I have to hear all this bullshyt from Liberals, who 8-years ago, talked all this non-sense about "getting tough on corporations" or "we have to regulate wall street". Well, that is what we are doing now, and all I hear is nothing but whiny and crying. I mean this is the liberal progressive way, right? so liberals please follow the rules that you wanted and stop crying... please.
We were giving clients slack on this stuff, but for all 2015 filers, we let all the non-compliant clients get the book thrown at them, with huge lists of significant deficiencies. Many client employees have been let go. but it is what is. Blame the government.
