In order for them to "think", something like this is OK means that they'd have to care or consider you as anything other than a consumer to exploit.

And the two main things they profit off of, is people buying their over priced, "Luxury" tech phones on brand loyalty and the patented disregard for your information and privacy that they collect and use for a myriad of reasons tied to the selling of that information.

AirDrop normally works with someone in the same room, but the proximity sharing feature requires the two iPhones to be close to touching. Sharing through proximity can be enabled or disabled

The Truth
This was done already before

I forgot which phone it was, but you basically just bump the phones together to share information

The only problem I see with apple doing this is that it’s automatically set to default, which they can easily patch/change. Just give people the option of turning the feature on and sharing data that way.

Sounds like you would have to purposely have the iPhones in very close proximity in a specific way to do this.

I get turning it off but doesn’t read like it just happens by being close to another phone
:mjlol:

This was announced and demonstrated in the keynote event. Read the features before upgrading to new software and hardware

Might as well get the Kendrick Lamar phone if you’re that paranoid

I went to checc for myself and sure enough he was correct :why:

Yeah, Apple are definitely a$$holes for this, but let's not forget to place accountability on people's willingness to overshare damn near anything in this social media era as the engine that drives decisions like these.
