Also the LONS second album The Inner Minds Eye T.I.M.E is dope but it didn't really capture the public's attention like their peers albums.
Tribe dropped Midnight Maruaders and De La dropped Buhloone Mind State. On top of all that Wu, Duckdown, Bad Boy were all coming into the picture and Death Row was fullblown. They just got lost in the shuffle. I'm sure the lack of success for the 2nd album contributed to the break up.

This was my shyt off that album:

Charlie's Brown best verse of his career.

I remember an interview he said he had to figure out how to write enough verses for an album by himself that's why he did the features for a minute. I think it was his Drink Champs interview, I'm not looking for it.

This was part of it. It’s not like today you have to spend time crafting a lot of songs that would not make the album

This was the 90s. Back then labels would build their artists up with promotion, guest appearances and such before just dropping an album based off of one show-stealing verse. Nas premiered on Live at the BBQ in 91. Then in 92 was on Serch's "back to the grill'. Did 'halftime" for the Zebrahead soundtrack, Press and interviews for Illmatic and then it drops early 94. It was a process. This was a time that they started recording albums a full year before they were released. So LONS last album dropped late 93 and Busta's debut was released in early 96. Roughly 2 and a half years. It wasn't really a long time

He had his show stealing verse on scenario in 1991, and didn’t drop his solo album until 1996. LONS was broken up for 2-3 years by that point.

LONS was together for until like '93-'94. 2-3 years was standard for an album rollout. It was right on schedule.

Didn't they star recording that album in 94? I don't know for sure, but it seems like it wasn't too unusual to record a few years back then.
That used to be the standard/rotation, its just you had consistent releases on tuesdays because everyone big to unknown was dropping something.
