Fetty's first hit came out several months before it blew up, though. Then he was huge and kept releasing big songs. I think he fell off because his debut album didn't have any new hits on it. That song "Time" is a banger but he never released it as a single.

Another dime a dozen trendy bullshyt artist. He ain't no different than Trindad James, Yung Berg, Yung Joc, Mims and whatever other 1 hit wonder you can think of.

This shyt ain't hard to figure, bruhs. Come on now. :mjlol:
Young Joc wasn't a 1 hit wonder you dumb fukk.

Joc still has music that a get a response out of crowd today.

Lyor Cohn hit the :mjcry: over this one. He thought he was going to be the next Future. I watched a Q+A he did at Stanford. Some guy asked what he's doing to make sure Fetty doesn't end up the next Trindad James. He got REAL offended saying some shyt like "Fetty is a star. Please dont compare him to Trindad James." :mjlol:

A couple people asked him about cultural appropriation and he did the whole
full

basically saying he doesn't know or understand what that means and he isn't the right person to ask.

Man is a fukkin snake word to Mos Def

Lyor treating these new artist like an oil well. Once they reach their max output and the production curve goes down they move onto the next well/artist.

This is a good read on keef's influence
How Chief Keef became the most influential hip-hop artist of his generation

He deserves credit for laying the blueprint for artists like lil uzi, carti or xxxtentacion

this video from the same dude in og post also summarizes keefs career

No Father To MY Style.. A Son Unique
Fettys fall off on here is overhyped...

Dude blew up off trap queen and dropped hit after hit after hit that entire year. It was like the world thought everything fetty dropped was a banger.. until those 5 songs played SO MUCH people got a lil tired of it but those same people still fukk wit him. This break was almost necessary for him to come back fresh. Will it happen idk but not wvery rapper can maintain a buzz with single after single year after year.

Might be 3 people on the universal top 10 GOAT list that could do that.

Hes been touring gettjng money ever since.Yall acting like he was craig mack after flavor in ya ear or something.

Dude still popular in ny/nj but he makes hits... its not like dude had a crazy fan base of loyal hip hop heads... most of his fans are casuals but aint nuttjng wrong with that. Not every rapper has tye same situation and fettys is extra unqiue (whos the last rapper who debuts and dropped hits like that one after another... he is NOT a 1 hit wonder).

All cuz ya shyt aint on tye radio dont mean it aint poppin. Just means someone aint paying for it to be there. I dont hear 69 on the radio either and yall cant stop talking bout him like hes really a huge star while he just a poor mans schmurda; and neither had close to the success of fetty.

Was it too much too soon? Maybe... but Fettys cool and makes good party music to me. Trap queen was THE joint. One of the best singles of the past few years and considering yall stan rappers whos songs dont even get close to trap queen status, let alone the other 4 joints; how fetty fell off?

Dude got rich.. hes enjoying life and getting more money... let him cook. Yall talk bout rappers on here like they the buggest thing in hip hop that ive never heard of all tye time.. conquering yall lil areas with a minor hit yet ya telling me fetty wap who basically blew up in nyc aka the whole game and kept it going all year fell off?

Instant gratification generation. Smh

If you have an organic following like @How Sway? is saying then "hits" is not THE metric for sustaining a career.
