Never really listened much to Mike and Mike the few times I listened to the show it sounded like it could be some dry morning show from Nebraska.
And the hacky straight man and dumb jock thing they really played up was corny as hell too

Didn’t know they had drama behind the scenes ... show was elevator music tho.
they were tight and hung out with each other's families before Greenberg did that snake shyt behind Golic's back.

From what I remember Greenberg was negotiating a deal to have his own show in 2016; Golic had no idea and found out about it in the news. That's kinda grimey, you work with the guy for 15 years you figure you would have some rapport with the guy... Greenberg is a pencil necked geek though so it's easy to understand why he'd avoid confrontation

Cause Greenberg is so good on the mic he had most of us thinking him and Golic had good chemistry when he really hated the guy 
In these situations when one member of a duo/group gets an opportunity and the other person/people don't....I usually give the benefit of the doubt to the organization making the decision that it's a good reason why

I remember the first time I saw Mike Greenberg on Sports Center and literally thought “Who the fukk is this douche bag, he’s trying too hard.” Never understood his appeal. The way he talks is annoying as hell and the way he would rest his lips on the mic on Mike & Mike was fukking homo LOL
