Started around late summer of 2001. I was already upset that WCW went out of business but continued watching the WWF with the hopes of them doing something with the WCW guys. When Stephanie McMahon became the "owner" of ECW I realized the whole invasion angle was just another McMahon family drama and my interest dropped :francis: . Plus I was starting my senior year of high school, was working a part time job and played football so I really didn't have time to be into it like I was in the past. Still watched up until around Christmas 2001. My mom lost her job and had to take a lower paying job so we got rid of cable to save money so I was out the loop until February 2002 when one of my classmates told me Hall, Nash, and Hogan were back in the WWF. I got pumped and told my mom i'll pay the cable bill so I could watch Raw again.

Started watching again but it felt different. You had Benoit, Rock, Angle, Nash, Hogan, Austin, Guerrero, Booker T, Jericho, Storm, etc all on the same roster but my enthusiasm wasn't there. I realized it was because WCW wasn't around anymore. Since I began watching wrestling in 1991/1992 there were always two big promotions. Now it was just one and they had changed their name from the WWF to WWE :scust:. It's been almost 15 years and I still hate it being called WWE:scust:.

When they created the world heavyweight championship for Triple H I had enough and stopped watching until weeks before Wrestlemania 18 to see Booker T beat Triple H only to be disappointed :francis:.

Watched maybe 3-4 Raw, TNA, and Smackdowns a year until 2011 when a co worker was watching CM Punk's pipe bomb on YouTube. I was like "this straight edge clown is the champ:mjlol:" I decided to watch the following week to see what was up and it's been like that since.

15-20 years ago I wouldn't miss a Raw or Smackdown. If I did I would always tape it but now if I miss a show I'm like :yeshrug:. I rarely watch the replays on the dvr or hulu. I watch a lot of classic stuff on the network to relive my childhood and my teens and some indy stuff on the fite tv app and YouTube.

If it wasn't for TSC I would probably watch even less WWE to be honest. :yeshrug:You guys have me rolling in the ppv, Raw and Smackdown threads with your commentary and smileys :mjlol:

Right before the WCW merger I started falling off. WWF wasn't fun to watch once they started cleaning up their act for the wife's run at politics. Then they had eliminated WCW, so no reason to stay edgy and competitive. The product got boring to me and I haven't watched since about 01. Nothing was better than those Monday Night Wars. Every single Monday they were trying to outdo each other, and it was great for the product. Even the bidding wars were dope. You'd see a wrassler on WWF one night then WCW the next wearing all black and shouting out NWO. shyt was cool back then to me.

Edit: I need to rephrase the comment about Linda's political run. They cleaned up for her run at politics, and it was years after I had stopped watching. But I remember trying to watch a few episodes and it was just dry. I found out later that they were trying to clean up for her senate run. But since that time I won't even tune in. I need beer guzzling rednecks and middle fingers, and fake black power groups. Not safe bullshyt.

The one time I did stop was in '95 because everything was garbage... I didn't get ECW where I lived. so there was WWF and WCW... and both were jam packed with trash. Also, I had hit high school and was into high school shyt, none of which included watching wrestling. Didn't get back into it until '97.
high school :flabbynsick:
