Why didn't Trump speak or march with advocates at March for Our Lives in D.C. today?

because he knows it's only a matter of time before one of these gun control marches gets shot up and he don't want to be there when it happens.
i know it's a terrible thought but if i owned a gun and i was crazy to the point of killing people then any of these marches or rallies look like very soft targets.

Oh please he’s public enemy #1 to those libtards he would have been booed off the stage before he had a chance to speak.

Same reason why you wouldn’t find Obama’s at an anti abortion protest

He said he's not beholden to the NRA and supports gun reform.

This should be a feather in Trump''s hat, he loves America and want's to keep Americans safe.
:manny:

I'm not convinced this is only a liberal issue either, gun violence effects everyone and gun laws are very weak. I've read support for gun reform is actually at it's highest since Pew started asking.

pro-life is a misnomer

Trump would clearly not be welcome at any of those marches. The overwhelming majority of the people attending are anti-Trump.

None of those crazy mass shooters goes looking for random "soft targets." :mjlol:

Seriously, they have to this day never found a single mass shooter who had chosen his target primarily because it was "soft". I mean come on, some of them are out there shooting up military bases, shooting up gatherings of cops, etc. :skip:

They choose a target because of a personal connection to the target, a vendetta, or just because there's a lot of people in one place. 90% of the time they wanna die anyway and the other 10% they're so delusioned that they aren't gonna be thinking rationally about their changes anyway.

Him not being welcome has absolutely nothing to do with the concept of him embracing and being empathetic to their cause considering his position in the conversation.

You're being purposefully obtuse.

now who's being obtuse.

this 'movement', that has been bought and paid for by the democrats, has clearly drawn a line in the sand against trump, republicans.. and the "current administration"

even if trump were to offer an olive branch it's highly doubtful that they would ever accept. this clearly has less to do with having a conversation about guns and more to do with opposing republicans and getting people to vote democrat.

^ trump invited these kids to his listening session, they declined. they have no interest in working with trump.

so yes while i'm sure trump would rather NOT look like he's caving into democrats, the most likely reason he didn't attend any of these rallies is because he knows he isn't welcome and he knows those people would only use that opportunity to shame him.

False, the rest of your point is irrelevant based off you building it on this false narrative. Many Rs feel the same way but are scared to embrace the movement out of fear of reprisal from their party or simply because they fear losing out on lobbyist payola.
