I actually liked it but gamers are weird and a lot are crybabies. They were mad Dante had black hair and acted just like them emo. Same group that hated TLOU 2 because Joel got killed off. Straight manbabies
It's not even comparable, they made Dante a cornier version of Nero, he wasn't even Dante in character
at least Joel was still the same character he just got killed off in a dumb ass scenario
what they did to Vergill was worst than any of the other characters, the game was just flat out trash, western developers can't make these types of games they are trash at combat
which is why Ninja Theory has made an orginal series worth a damn yet

My point being the game was fun for what it was, I was never attached to any character in DMC, Dante always came off as cringe which is by design. Still a fun game, not perfect or anything close but it was cool

Game is actually fire. It's just a slap in the face to the actual DMC series. If it was it's own thing it would be praised more. The gameplay was always fire even if it was dumbed down for the casuals.
But compare this to DMCV and you clearly see the difference on what makes DMC well DMC. DMCV is a modern classic honestly. (Even with trash ass V)
