Why do basketball fans overrate dudes who are great dunkers?

Maybe its the young nikkas who are style over substance.

Blake Griffin for example still hasnt developed any semblance of a post game and is pretty ineffective in the halfcourt plus he sometimes gives up on D to leak out so if its a miss he can catch a oop yet dudes act like hes a superstar

Hes far from the only one hes just the biggest example of a dude elevated to stardom because hes exciting

I'm not gonna front and say he hasn't improved as a player, but he's not nearly as good as people have been making him out to be. I don't ever see him being a top 5 player in the league.

Yeah I came in here to say the same, I was harsh on his game earlier in the season but he actually has improved a lot. His jumper is still ugly as fukk, but it's going in a really nice clip.

who calls blake a superstar? I havent heard him elevated beyond what he is --- an all star level player....besides, is overrating some new phenomenon anyhow? I think u just wanted to rant here, and bark at invisible heads, cause I havent seen blake overrated by anyone. 'Specially round here.
