I bite. We always called it “playing the game”. I’m 32, sometimes you say the name, but as a generic term when you on the phone or something, especially with someone who don’t anything bout video games, a proper response to “what you doing” answering “on the game” is a easy one.

I can’t honestly remember if we said bussin in New Orleans or not, I can vaguely remember that we possibly said it, maybe bout food, but I can kinda remember never saying it either, but to answer I think it has gotten popular due to chicago, like all the other slang “drill, opps, thots, smoking on dead homie, stang, back door” bussin is in that also, I’m sure places used that term before, but the places that didn’t use it started using it from chi.

1. Most nikkas call it "The Game" cause their grandparents/parents called it "the game".. Before that and playstation, every video game was playing nintendo"

2. almost all slang goes "national" now, cause everybody on the internet. Anything remotely popular gets copied. Think about something like "this shyt slap" or "cap". that shyt was extremely local. then.....
