I have seen a lot of black folks on this site and all over social media lambasting whoopi and
defending those that shall not be named.

They are objectively the most powerful group in America
and arguably the whole world, they don't need to be defended by the most marginalised group in America.

save the :cape:for your fellow black people or those that actually need it

Black people as a race always have to fight othe people's battles smh

Because some people have this human quality called "empathy" and "maturity." You can have reservations about a group of people without actively or passively endorsing human rights violations against them or trying to discredit the human rights violations that have been committed against them...during a commemorative period of these events no less. This doesn't mean we're "fighting other people's battles," nor neglecting our own issues. The remembrance of a genocide and one of the worst human event in world history is no place to insert our own politics. What Whoopi said was dumb af and poorly timed and people rightfully jeered it.

They don't have to defend but that doesn't mean black people have to talk about others groups openly. With Jews you lose, so stop talking about them.

Black people aren’t monoliths. Stop thinking that you have a authority over what black people choose to do or support.

That much is clear. Even back during slavery, the slave masters had black "allies" working for them to snitch on and keep other slaves in check

I think alot of black peoples problem are that they can only contextualize relationships with other races thru the lens of slavery.

We're (AAs) benevolent by nature. We've always fought injustice for everybody. Unfortunately it is very rarely reciprocated or appreciated by anyone skinfolk or not.

Known people who are doing it publicly are acting out of fear.
