I always wondered this.
My theory is the Neanderthal DNA. They feel closer to animals, kissing them, bathing with them, even having sex with them feels natural.
I worked with a white nurse who told me she bathed with her dog when he shytted all over himself.

five star and rep I also wonder this alot.
It is kind of messed up when you realize originally there were no battered women's shelters, just battered animals shelters. Battered women went to the animal shelters because they had no where else to go, and then battered women's shelters came up. Something about that never sat right with me.
