Why do Detroit rappers use the same beats that sound alike?

I think thats overstated for real, but same way certain areas have a sound there is a local Detroit sound. Same way there are a bunch of Cali artists with the same style beats or Atlanta and so on. Most of the well known Detroit artists aren’t really rapping on those type of beats anymore though.
