Why do Disney/kid movies need to be musicals?

It's tradition man, they've been doing it since Snow White in the 30's. They keep/grabs the child's attention, sometimes help move the plot along(like in Hercules), and they just make the film more memorable imo. For me, the songs are usually the first thing that comes to mind when reflecting on a Disney film. Can't imagine The Lion King without "Hakuna Matata", Aladdin without "Prince Ali" Beauty and the Beast without the title track.

I always liked the musical shyt. Some of them joints be piff like the aladdin songs and lion king songs.

But yo they new movie frozen might fukk around and do a billie. That shyt at 700 mil worldwide.

I always hated all the singing in movies....some songs are classics like the songs in the lion king but even those songs can be annoying. What is the reason to have a character randomly start singing in the movie.
