Why do folks think it's impossible to like rappers like Kendrick Lamar AND Future?

I agree

Also why do artists like Kendrick and Future ever have to be compared?

They arent even attempting to do the same thing..They aren't even doing the same sport..

Nobody spends hours arguing how Cam Newton is better than Floyd Mayweather..

Just respect those that are great at what they do in their lane..

It's easier to do what Future does and there are 100 "Futures" in every city.
For some odd reason, i don't see too many Kendrick clones.
No, it's not like comparing Cam Newton to Floyd Mayweather.
It's like comparing a classic benz to a kitted out astrovan.
One is "as is dope"
Other is "Add jewelry and special effects".
That being said, I can enjoy both. I know the difference, though...
Y'all "everybody wins" generation lil dudes are weird.
When Future was Meathead he tried to actually rap. He was pretty good, but not as good as Kendrick is now at "straight up rapping".
One is a better rapper than the other. The "makes better songs" argument is a popularity contest.

Lol who said it's impossible? You're arguing with ghosts. This ain't the 90s bruh. Elitism and Regionalism are more irrelevant than ever now. I don't know any Hip-Hop fan that listens to one sub genre of Hip-Hop all the time.

The average Hip-Hop fan, thorough or casual, likes a mix of shyt.
