Currently trying to book a weekend getaway for a trip in February and I had to do a double take when the hotel doubled the price of the room on Saturday from that of Friday. What's the basis behind this?
Um:
- weekends tend to be when more people travel/have time off, so that costs more
- depending on when/where it is, sometimes there are other events in town that make accommodations more in demand. For example - if you're going somewhere in February, it might be around Valentines' Day. Or, let's say where you're going is Charlotte. It's gonna be popping next February ...and you know why.
Thanks. Traveling Upstate NY for a Duke basketball game.
