Why do men find it odd when a man enjoys female company?

because when you think of women as sex objects instead of people it's hard for them to understand how someone could be around them without trying to have sex with them. If they weren't sexist pigs, they would realize that women are people and have personalities and people like their personalities (including men) and want to be friends with them.

I agree, but in real life this isn't the fact. As far as studies go, real friendships between (white) men and women are virtually non-existent:

Honestly, I get along well with women and sometimes enjoy their company, but it's always better when there are dudes there. I can't put up with the moodiness, the cattiness and the shyt of taking things too personally. I can make a joke today and it's all laughs, and make another one in a few days that's the same, but all of a sudden it's like I've killed someone. I can't be around that nonsense too much. I can only enjoy my female friends' company in doses.

I know plenty of guys who prefer to just hang around women, and 9/10 are constantly displaying dangerous levels of bytchassness.

There's nothing wrong with enjoying a female's company.
But to a degree.

It's a bit weird to hang out with a girl all the time and there NOT be some kind of underlying romantic interest there. It's almost always there for the man.
Women can sometimes act oblivious to it though.
