Why Do Most White People who love Rap Only Like the UNSUCCESSFUL RAPPERS

Most white people ( NOT ALL .. I know most posters here are CAAACS) .. but most white ppl who are HARDCORE RAP fans only like the nyggas that are struggling and next to broke. Anyone who gains any type o fame or money they dont rock with.

I was talking with this CAC who was tryna tell me how much better joey badass was than Kendrick and his point was basically based on joey being unsuccessful and not making not much $$ out here.

This is not true. Lil wayne is highly popular among whites. Drake, same. Whites love Jay Z especially after that Picasso shyt, and they love/hate Kanye West. It's not about riches. Its about obscurity. Cacs can't understand the idea of something being legitimately good AND popular. In white peoples quest to be "deep" and "cultured" they get lost in the idea that the more unknown an artist is, the better he is. Its not that this artist maybe lyrical, but can't put a song together, It's not that they have a shytty team of people behind them, Its because the "mainstream" isn't smart enough to get it.

Biscuitsnbangers, I know that you are white. I will admit that it appears that you have good taste (from what i've seen) regarding rap. But, the exception is NOT the rule. The same way I'm not going to tell someone who is white about what is right and great in rock and country is the same way I don't want someone white telling me about Hip-Hop. I'm sorry, but it is what it is.

I think it has more to do with white people not giving a shyt about materialism or club songs (that aren't dance tracks), which is why they don't care for the mainstream that much. At the same time they are politically and socially conscious (or at least try/pretend to be) which is what draws them to the more underground stuff.

There are two great dynamics to whitefolk and hip-hop that I've discovered in this shyt...there are those like the OP described that are hippie ass, wanna be social dyanmic mofos that try to act like the underground is all there is to it, and because they're undergound by default they are better. nikkas like Slug, RA, Tech N9ne, Immortal(all of these cats aren't BAD but they big up them) are better than Ye, Nas, Biggie, Jay Z Kendrick etc cause they're "struggling" or whatever, and that simply isn't true at all times.

The other dynamic comes from the super suburban whitefolk that are usually casual as shyt rap fans(I live close to Katy in the Houston area, the fukking breeding zone of this shyt) where they try to be "down" because they're trying to be hood or whatever, almost smacked some hoes cause they say nikka ass bytches and shyt. Saying they all listen to unsuccessful rappers is false cause for every dirty hippie ass rapper bumping JMT you got some swag faq kid rocking skinny jeans and saying nikka around all his white friends and shyt jamming ASAP.
