Pleated pants that taper toward the bottom with a 1/2 in break at the bottom look great.
The problem is most guys aren't going to a tailor if they have a suit with pleated pants, they're just buying an old suit and wearing it around while their mom's friends cal them "handsome." If you aren't going to get a suit that fits, and get it tailored, then go with flat-front trousers.
J. Crew and Banana Republic come automatically with flat-front, as do most SuitSupply suits and Thom Browne/BBBF.

I always go for their older suits, find my size, and have it fitted by a local guy.
The quality of the older shirts and suits (especially 60s stuff) is great, and its always a lot cheaper to get.
Hugo Boss has been the last few years, you fukk with D&G has gotten better though

a tailor is a must have these days... nothing better than a sharp fitting suit/sports coat

the reason why i fuc with those three brands is there stuff off the shelf fits my body style [no homo] really well.... there's very minor things my haberdasher has to adjust.... mostly sleeve length and thats it.

my haberdasher does custom fit every shirt to my body, which makes the fit spectacular... same with pants.
