Why Do nikkas Talk About Handchecking As If The NBA Aint Take Away Illegal Defense To Add Zone For

shyt drives me fukkin crazy how nikkas act as if teams could pack the paint in the 80's and 90's. Wake up call nikka, the inability to pack the paint back then made it much easier for the greats to beat their on ball defender and get straight to the basket, which caused a lot of late rotations cause u had to stay close to your man on defense.

Im a Jordan, Wade, Shaq, Penny, stan. Easily my all time favorite 4. But when I hear nikkas talk all this "u can't be physical anymore" bullshyt it makes my fukkin bank account hurt. Being able to knock the hell out of somebody is not giving you a fukkin defensive advantage. However, being able to double from anywhere and keep 3 nikkas in the paint and sag off your man anywhere on the court gives MUCH more of an advantage than being able to track a nikka with your hand .

Wtf is wrong with some of u nikkas man. Y'all nikkas just throw shyt in threads and hope for it to stick. Nothing but followers and dikkriders dapping each other with no fact based statements.

I waited the whole video for them to mention Iverson, everyone who followed basketball at that time knew that rule was put in to slow him down.

IMO it hurt Iverson and Lebron more than any 2 players. Shaq played under the net so the zone wasn't much of a factor and even with illegal defense they could send in the double team once he had the ball so he would've faced pretty much the same kind of defense with or without it. Players who could really shoot like Kobe, McGrady, and KD suffered because it slowed them down getting to the net but at least they were good to great shooters as well, but AI was and Lebron is dependent on getting to the rim and were/are better at it than probably anyone in league history at their positions, with illegal defense they would've ran around their defenders all game.

Seriously breh, I don't think people realize how different the game was back then. Players were allowed to go 1vs1 all day with no help defense.

I agree. I feel a lil different about the effect on Bron (his assists woulda been way down and he was never amazing at beating his man with a live dribble) but u are on point with the rest.

Funny how there are 30+ nikkas on this site pushing the tougher defense, handchecking, and all other back in the day type of shyt. But they all avoided this thread .

That video in the first reply would absolutely kill any argument these nikkas could make against today's players. So of course they just flat out avoid it.
