Why do NY rappers shout out Mac Dre more than they do Biggie?

Everytime I listen to NY hip hop, I always hear RIP Mac Dre..

Or when NY rappers come out here to perform, I always hear Thizz In Peace on stage..

I hardly ever hear a NY rapper shouting out Biggie these daze...

but Mac Dre is far and away > Biggie in every category

because he was ahead of his time in everything he did rap wise except his flow and independent grind by about 3-10 years and the rest of the world is just catching up or just putting down trends he started three years before he died.

I'm from Oakland, Ca., Dre is what you call a legend out here in the Bay Area. He isn't the best lyricist, just a dude who had fun doin what he liked to do. He united a bunch of rappers from the bay and made a culture so to speak of thizzin, rappin, and dancin.

On the flip side, check out American Gangster, the Romper Room game episode, then you'll see he did his dirt, and 5 years fed time without snitching...unlike TI or whoever u wierdos call kings these days.
