Why do Ohioans have so much state pride?

Ohioans and Texans share this trait in that they have so much state pride. With Texans you're taught that shyt from a kid with the story of the Alamo. Where does it come from for Ohioans? That letter from Lebron was special.

Great beer/food scene
Great entertainment for families/nightlife

This is the most shocking thing about it. Ohioans are very comfortable in their own skin and where they come from despite not having much. I respect it. Despite being in South Beach for 4 years and around all those beautiful people, Lebron never forgot where he came from. I think "humble" is a word to describe Ohioans and that helped him stay grounded. I don't get the excessive hate for this man. Hopefully people read that letter and wake up and realize Lebron is a good brother.
