Why do people drive without wearing a seatbelt?

been in 6 car accidents? I don't think wearing a seat belt is what's wrong with your driving but I don't have the details of the accidents to comment tho.

yea 4 of them were my fault many years ago just being young and reckless, none where serious, the other two which were the serious ones where someone else was driving , a drunk taxi driver , and a speeding coworker, in the one with the speeding coworker him wearing his seat belt actually prevented him from being able to get out the car, we hit a fire hydrant so he was sit there getting soaked til the cops came i was able to get him out right away

Don't get me wrong though i tell EVERYONE to wear there seat-belts when they get in my car.

A 38-year-old northwest Atlanta man died Sunday after his car collided nearly head-on with another vehicle driven by a woman who police said was drunk.
Atlanta police told Channel 2 Action News that 38-year-old Jasper Collier was driving a 2003 Jaguar southbound on Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard when a northbound car turned left into his path at Neal Street.
Collier, who wasn’t wearing a seat belt, was seriously injured and later died at Grady Memorial Hospital.
I hear about stories like this all the time where the driver dies in a crash and they arent wearing a sealtbelt. I dont know about you guys but I've never driven without wearing a seltbelt. I put it on before I even put the key in the ignition. Is driving without a seltbelt the cool thing to do these days?

Cool factor. It's pretty stupid. Even if you're the best driver, there are idiots out there and you won't be able to avoid them, that's why they are called accidents, not purpose-idents.

A girl I used to date would call me square and uptight because I always told her to wear a seatbelt when she drove with me. She would argue and I would be

she got into an accident where she would be dead if it wasnt for wearing the seatbelt. It seems me harassing her, she just put it on as a 2nd instinct.

This is strictly some cac shyt, here....never seen any other color do this. Even worse when they drive Jeep wranglers with the doors taken off. Damn near half they bodies hangin' out doin 70..
